Welcome to The German Christmas Shop USA!

Though we aren’t based in Germany, we’re proud to call the area near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania (Christmas City, USA) our home. Living here means we’re surrounded by the spirit of Christmas year-round, but for us it’s about more than twinkling lights and festive décor. It’s about what Christmas represents: joy, family, tradition, and memories that grow richer year after year.

When we think about the treasures we carry, we don’t see them as just decorations. They’re storytellers—pieces that connect generations, spark traditions, and remind us of the magic of togetherness.

Where It All Began 

The roots of our shop stretch across the globe. The German Christmas Shop was first founded in Australia by Ronnie and Kristie after a life-changing trip through Europe’s enchanting Christmas markets. They fell in love with the handcrafted ornaments, nutcrackers, and wooden treasures—pieces so full of charm and heritage that they couldn’t resist sharing them.

Back home, they realized that these authentic decorations weren’t easy to find. Taking a leap of faith, they opened an online shop, not knowing if others would embrace these pieces the way they did. To their joy, families across Australia fell in love with the magic too. What started as a passion project quickly became a beloved tradition in homes across the country.

A New Chapter in America 

Ronnie and Kristie decided that us Americans would also love the tradition, artistry and holiday joy that The German Christmas Shop provides. They decided to expand operations into the US market! Mari and Drew joined the team in 2020 - right in the midst of the Covid pandemic - to help support the growing business in the Americas.

While the Australian and U.S. shops operate independently, the heart behind them remains the same: a devotion to authentic craftsmanship and the belief that these pieces bring something deeper than decoration—they bring meaning.

More Than Decorations 

Anyone can sell a holiday trinket. Just look at the shelves lined with mass-produced ornaments and plastic knock-offs. But when you hold an authentic German-made piece, it feels different. It’s not just an ornament—it’s a memory in the making.

Maybe it will remind you of a snowy Christmas morning, a child’s excitement hanging a new ornament, or a gift passed down from Grandma. Year after year, as you unwrap it and place it in its special spot, it becomes a part of your family’s story. That’s the magic we believe in.
